Rules And Judging Criteria For Submission
A distinguished panel of
community leaders, philanthropists, past Honorees and nonprofit
professionals will judge submissions. Honorees must
meet the following criteria:
- Clearly meet(s) Award category requirements in which
they have been nominated
- A proven commitment to philanthropy through personal
involvement
- Evidence of direct personal support, including the
financial impact and/or volunteer contributions
- Evidence of dedication, innovation, creativity and
vision
- Extraordinary achievement, accomplishment or benefit to
the community
- Outstanding leadership in providing inspiration or
motivation for the actions of others
Lifetime Achievement Award: Honorees
must clearly demonstrate a (10
years or more) involvement with one or more Orange County
organizations. National and/or international philanthropic
involvements will be appropriately considered, but will not
substitute for local involvement.
All Awards:
Using the online form, describe the Honoree's
philanthropic leadership or performance that merits the award.
It is helpful to describe examples of activities and antidotes that illustrate
the effect the Honoree’s service has had on the Orange County, national and/or
international communities.
Supporting materials (within page limits) may also be submitted online or
mailed.
Nominations Deadline:
- All nominations must be received in the AFPOC offices
by 5 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2009.
